Let’s gather, slow down, and reconnect

Experiential workshops, group facilitation, and talks at the meeting place of nature, climate, and mental health — designed to help people feel something, not just hear something.

I design and facilitate workshops, group experiences, and talks exploring our relationship with the natural world — and what it asks of us emotionally.

As a clinical counsellor with a background guiding outdoors, I work experientially: part research, part practice, part honest conversation. Less lecture, more a space where a group can slow down, feel what's there, and reconnect. I rarely arrive with something off the shelf — I'd rather build it with you.

I can support with:

  • Climate emotions & eco-resilience

  • Reconnecting with the natural world

  • Burnout & nervous-system care

  • Nature-based well-being for groups and teams

  • Grief, change & uncertainty

I work with community groups, environmental and outdoor organizations, academic institutions, teams and workplaces.

"Emily is a warm spot for hard and confusing feelings."

“Emily's place-based workshop on climate emotions did something rare: it made space for the felt realities of living in a time of ecological crisis, without rushing toward resolution. We walked through the forest together, found quiet places to reflect, and watched crows build their nests as we shared our experiences. People arrived carrying a spectrum of emotions and left having had them genuinely heard and tended to — not resolved, but held. I can't wait to work with her again.”
