A place to land

Individual and couples counselling in North Vancouver for anxiety, burnout, grief, and the seasons of life that ask more of you than you have to give. Therapy that is warm, real, and right beside you — whatever the terrain.

You might be here because...

  • You're holding it all together — but you can't remember the last time you actually exhaled.

  • The anxiety won't switch off, even when everything looks fine from the outside.

  • You're burnt out from carrying everyone — at work, at home, in the world.

  • Something happened, and your body still hasn't caught up.

  • A relationship feels distant, and you want to find your way back to each other.

  • There's a grief about the world that you don't quite know where to put.

If any of that lands, this is a place to slow down. You don't have to have it figured out, and you don't have to do it alone.

Hi, I’m Emily (she/her). I’m so glad you are here.

You won't find a blank, nodding stranger across the room from me. I show up as a whole person — warm, present, a little emotional — because I think that's part of what makes it safe enough for you to do the same.

Before I was a therapist, I spent years guiding people through the backcountry — days at a time, far from the noise. What I watched happen out there is the reason I do this work: stressed, locked-up people would slowly begin to settle. They'd soften, open up, laugh, and remember they were stronger and more connected than they'd given themselves credit for.

That settling is the heart of how I still work. I create the conditions — whether we're in my office or walking side by side — where you can slow down enough to feel safe, and your own capacity can come back online.

In our sessions, humour and pain often sit side by side. All of you is welcome here: the witty and the wounded, the confident and the confused.

  • I provide a confidential, supportive space for individuals and couples to explore their thoughts, feelings, and patterns.

Rooted in feminist and systems-based approaches, our work is collaborative—guided by your experiences, your insight, and your goals for healing.

  • I offer speaking engagements and workshops at the intersection of climate change, mental health, and our connection to the natural world.

My talks weave together psychoeducation, reflective practices, and open dialogue to leave people feeling empowered, hopeful, and more grounded in their purpose.

  • I lead nature-based workshops that support therapists in reconnecting with themselves and their work.

These gatherings focus on burnout recovery, community care, and reflection—held gently in outdoor settings.

Therapy, workshops, and events rooted in intention.

If you're looking for support or collaboration, you're in the right place. My work is rooted in feminist, climate-informed, and relational care.

How I work with you

What matters most isn’t the method—it’s that you feel seen, safe, and free to be yourself here.

I draw from a range of trauma-informed, relational approaches—including nature-based therapy, narrative work, and feminist theory.

These frameworks support a therapy experience that’s collaborative and deeply human. But more than anything, our work is shaped by you and your lived experience.

“Someone once gave me a box full of darkness. It took me years to understand that this too, was a gift.”
